Web Filter Test Environment

Hello folks,
I'd like to set up a test environment to include only a few users to apply the Forticlient web filter to, before eventually deploying it company-wide.
Essentially I'd like to be able to do something like: create a group in AD, link it to forticlient and be able to select it and apply web filter to. Is something like this possible and if so, can I get some guidance as to how to accomplish it?

Additionally, are there any testing, monitoring, and debugging options for when we enable the filter?
Any and all help is appreciated, thanks.

Hey itsdlxson,

you can set up FortiClient profiles on basis of AD groups in FortiClient EMS:

- create a profile with webfiltering as you want to test

- associate with an endpoint policy

- assign the policy to a group and push out to FortiClients
https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/7.0.6/ems-administration-guide/68075/web-filter

https://docs.fortinet.com/document/forticlient/7.0.6/ems-administration-guide/969146/manage-policies

For testing webfiltering, you can use testpages available on the FortiGuard website: https://www.fortiguard.com/webfilter/categories

Other than that, you can use FortiClient logs to check what webfiltering is doing.
