Please forgive me if there is already a post about this but a search on this forum and on the FortiNet KB articles did not return any results. Can anyone give a detailed instruction on how to boot a FortiGate/FortiMail from a USB drive. I am keen to document this for co-workers in case we have an emergency and need to quickly replace/swap out FortiGate units.

Hi, You cannot boot from a USB device, only prep it with a firmware and do a automatic upgrade of the firmware on boot.

Do you have instructions on the steps required? Or is there a guide somewhere that details the commands required?
