Hi In past you were able to keep data on the external database: https://kb.fortinet.com/k....do?externalID=FD34904 Now you can use only built-in database. You can create or modify datasets using SQL queries: https://docs2.fortinet.co...-guide/631695/datasets

With fortigate you have 2 external options for reporting and SQL is not part of them

    - Forticloud

    - Fortianalyser

Forticloud does come as a free, but limited, solution for reporting. You can only use predefined reports. The paid version allows for customized reports and longer storage.

FortiAnalyser is a local solution, either physical or Virtual, that allows for capture of fiortigate logging but also other type of syslog information.

Comes with standard reports but you can create your own reports from scratch or copy from the existing ones.
