Freegate Blocking

Hi every body,

I have FG.300D with fortios 5.x. 

I'm blocking the internet during business hours (facebook, youtube, news...). However, some users use Freegate software to bypass FG.  I tried blocking it with an Application control and deny tcp. 8580 but did not success.

Please help me. Can somebody give me solution to this problem?

Hello,

 

If you are using FortiOS 5.2 and below, you need to enable deep-inspection to block Freegate. If you are using FortiOS 5.4 and above, deep-inspection is not needed.

Have same problem here.

 

First attempt is blocked sometimes and when re-launch the program, it connects to their servers...

 

Is there any method to block this FreeGate?
