Description

 

This article describes how to collect Persistent Agent logs in Linux machines for troubleshooting purposes.

Scope

 

Agent version: 5.x.

Solution

 

Before collecting logs, perform the basic troubleshooting steps. 

 
 

The following log files are created on the host computer upon installation of the Persistent Agent:


/var/log/bndaemon
/var/log/secure
/var/log/messages

 

Attach the log files to the ticket. Upon submission, add a case comment with the following information:

  • Details regarding the symptoms experienced, including any error messages.
  • Steps resulted in the symptom.
