Description

This article describes how to troubleshoot the FortiManager map view error.

Scope

FortiManager.

Solution

In FortiManager, there is a list of features that can use the Map View, which is on Device Manager -> SD-WAN Monitor ->AP Monitor and VPN Monitor.

 

Here are the steps to troubleshoot, if any of the features showing the below error.

  1. Make sure to have the correct compatibility between the FortiGate and FortiManager.

  1. FortiManager should have internet access.

     

     

  2. DNS should be working and able to resolve the below domain:

     

    mapserver-subca2001.fortinet.com

  3. MapServer test should be successful:

     

    diagnose system mapserver test

  4. It should contain a signed Fortinet SUBCA, CA Certificate in FortiManager.

    If a web proxy is configured, make sure it is the same for steps 2 and 3.

     

    If the issue persists, share the 'execute tac report' together with all output from the steps for TAC to troubleshoot further.
