Trigger alert via API

Hello

I went through the documents here https://api2.panopta.com/v2/api-docs

I couldn't find any endpoint that could send/trigger a notification (alert timeline)

Is it possible to do such a thing using API?

In our use case, we want to run a test somewhere outside fortimonitor and if it fails, trigger an alert in fortimonitor

sorry but i also dont know about that. Please consult the Panopta API documentation or reach out to their support for accurate and up-to-date information on how to trigger alerts using their API.

Hello,

A feature at the metric level called "simulate incident" on FortiMonitor can trigger alerts or send notifications based on the alert timeline configuration.

To do so, please navigate to the instance > monitoring config > click on the 3 dots > simulate incident.

If you would like to initiate the alert via API, please navigate to the API page and search for "simulate" under the "/server" endpoint.
