Total Max or Average Utilization

Good day Fortipeeps!

 

I just wanted to ask if anyone has any idea how to calculate the total average or maximum CPU utilization. For example, the total average over 24 hours. I’m a bit confused about per-core CPU utilization. it is considered alarming if one of the core have high utilization?

I may found an answer to your question how to calculate the total average CPU utilization for FortiAnalyzer

  1. Gather CPU utilization data: Obtain CPU utilization values for each CPU core on the FortiAnalyzer device over a specific period.
  2. Calculate average CPU utilization per core: Add up the CPU utilization values for each core and divide by the number of cores to get the average CPU utilization per core.
  3. Calculate total average CPU utilization: Sum up the average CPU utilization values for all cores and divide by the total number of cores to determine the total average CPU utilization for the FortiAnalyzer device.
  4. Calculate maximum CPU utilization: Identify the highest CPU utilization value among all cores to determine the maximum CPU utilization reached by the FortiAnalyzer device.
