Question

Slow GUI access via https

Is it me or is anyone else suffering from very slow internet explorer access when accessing the gui on the smaller units (FGT50, FGT60 and FGT50A). It can takes ages to download all the graphics for a page, which is really frustrating. I have just started playing with a FGT50A and it seems worse than the others. When i remotely access my customers units (who have adsl lines) it is sometimes totally unusable, but mostly just really slow .... I am really surprised that no-one has ever had this ? I have even had to install OPERA browser on my laptop just in case the IE6 decides to not play ball. This is a bit better but still takes ages to load the pages. Any feedback on this would be helpful, i have lost interest with the techies at fortinet who claim they can access my boxes with no problems using IE. I have tried from various machines, versions and Operating systems, with the same effect. Thanks.

This seems to be a browser related problem. If you use Mozilla or Firefox, you will find it runs really well. Internet Explorer makes it run like a dog. Leo

Firefox is even nicer. Same engine I believe as Mozilla 1.6 but without the bloat Leo

I take it back ... :( found some problems using the mozilla as well, namely javascript buttons. For example, the test button under email alert menu does not work whatsoever. clicking it is a waste of time, it doesnt do anything. But works in IE. Weird, havent tried firefox, give that button a try and let me know if possible. Thanks.
