SD-WAN link Failover delayed

We have two links configured using the SD-WAN feature for fail-over. Recently, one of our links went down, and the fail-over process took approximately 10 minutes to complete. what is the cause of the delayed failover?

your description is too ambiguous.

what interface selection strategy is used for the sd-wan rule? 

how much SLA you used under the SD-WAN rule?

how much consecutive failure times before inactive? And how much for the restorage? this determine when an interface is really considered down in fortigate.

what is the time threshold for a probing to fail?

you'd better paste some screenshot of the sd-wan performance SLA and the rule configuration, otherwise it is hard to say.
