redundant interface

hope somebody could share their thoughts.   Exhibit A: FGT 200E (FOS 5.6.3/6.0) configured my 2 interfaces (port 13 and 14) as redundant interface. Port 13 is connected to SW1 and Port 14 connected to SW 2. Computer (172.30.1.2) unable to ping the ip assigned to port 13&14 (172.30.1.1).   on the other hand Exhibit B, computer able to ping port 13&14 ip address.   since HP 1920S has no capacity to do logical wan stacking. my customer pushes exhibit A for failover purposes. their back end servers having 2 physical interfaces connected to SW1 and SW2.
