Hello, I' m new to the forum and I have a problem with a FortiGate 50B. I connect the console and select " Format boot device" and then the option " Get firmware image from TFTP server" . I select the ip address, the name of the image and begins to load it but then the following message appears: Total 14780290 bytes data downloaded. Verifying the integrity of the firmware image. invalid compressed format (err=1) I have tested with several images and all gave the same error. What can be wrong? thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forums People here have had various levels of success with different TFTP servers. Try a different one. Also try to eliminate any switches and/or routers in between if possible.

as rwpatterson says - there can be a huge difference with different tftpservers. After all the years i' m very happy with: http://tftpd32.jounin.net/ (and had lots of issues, usually customers have) with the 3com tool. -R.
