Hi everyone,

 

I want to configure my fortigate to send logs to a specific dest e.g /var/log/firewall/x.x.x.x

but i don't see where can i do this is there a way to do this ?

Hey Laurent,

 

sounds like you are looking for syslog? Configure syslog in the log settings and send the logs needed to the respective IP/syslog server.

Make sure to have the policy log enabled in the firewall policies, if you want to have these logged as well.

Hello,

On FortiGate, you will not be able to configure destination file/directory. This should be done on server side. Depends on the syslog server you are using if it has option to write logs from different sources into different files.
