Forticlient causing slow computer

I have had a couple computers run really slow because Forticlient is installed.  When I uninstall, they go back to normal.  Any ideas what might be happening?

    It's possible.

     

    If you want to clear the cache file, you can

    1. shutdown FortiClient

    2. from administrative command line, run "sc stop fortishield"

    3. delete fmon_cache.dat in FortiClient folder

     

    Restart FortiClient then it will create a new fmon_cache.dat.

    You can disable FortiClient feature one by one to see which one causes your PC to run slow.

    Only thing enable is real time AV.  Does Forticlient do a initial can everytime the user logs into the computer?  Is there a way to disable that?

    Yeah, FortiClient needs to scan the file before user/system access it.

     

    But gradually it shall establish a cache so that it knows those files are clean.

     

    Are you still using 5.0 FortiClient?

    Yes.  So for the few computers that the initial login is really slow, could that cache be corrupt and maybe causing the issue? Everyone on the network has the same configuration via Group Policy

    That did the trick.  Deleting the cache file fixed it.
