FG60E best fw version for basic features & stability

I have just acquired a fg60e, i realise it's end of life but i plan on using it just for learning firewalls, vlans etc so don't need full licence for extras, i plan on doing cisco & fortinet free courses to understand more about networking & security.

Tonight i have got it setup & connected to the internet & noticed it's running fw v 6.0.3, i realise it's old but in your opinions would this be adequate for learning the basics of fortinet OS or can you suggest a more up to date stable fw version.

Hello,

To start with this unit, please check the release notes and always try to be with the most recent released FortiOS version. 

For an example, while checking with 'https://docs.fortinet.com/upgrade-tool/fortigate' it seems the FortiGate 60E supports 7.4.11. Which means you should be with any of  7.4.11 or 7.4.10 FortiOS version.

Please be informed, for proper FortiOS suggestion, it requires complete analyzation of services, environments, networks etc. For a basic start, I hope the recommendation here would help.
