Evaluation license

Hi

I am trying to activate the permanent evaluation license without any luck!

Here what i am getting on CLI:

FortiFirewall-VM64-KVM # execute vm-license This VM is using the evaluation license. This license does not expire. Limitations of the Evaluation VM license include:   1.Support for low encryption operation only   2.Maximum of 1 CPU and 2GiB of memory   3.Maximum of three interfaces, firewall policies, and routes each   4.No FortiCare Support This operation will reboot the system ! Do you want to continue? (y/n)y  Failed to download VM license.

execute vm-license-options account-id mymail@mail.com

execute vm-license-options account-password mypassword

The username and password are 100% correct

DNS is working and i can ping forticloud!

What do I miss here?

hi,

FortiFirewall-VM and FortiGate-VM are 2 different products, maybe you are trying to use the latter.

so both what i added to the post are coming from firewall i think, how to get license for that?

i dont think there's an eval license for FortiFirewall, only for FortiGate. try downloading and activating for that.

This worked in our lab, as we were researching different options for expired licenses. Since this isn't your fault, do you have sales reps you can talk to, to try to get something temporary, until licenses are found? It's worth asking about, if possible.
