Hi everybody I' ve realized that, once a week, my internet connection reaches the limit for a long period of time due to Adobe Autoupdates. I' ve tried to block this kind of traffic defining a rule that blocks internal traffic to a group of IP adresses, but I' m not sure that this is a good solution to solve this problema. Have you found an alternate way to block this type of traffic? Thankyou very much

Version 4 will allow you to block various differnet automatic updates (including adobe) using the app control feature

Hi doshbass Thanks for your reply. At this moment, upgrading to version 4 is not possible. Is there any way of blocking this kind of traffic in version 3? I' ve tried to block a set of ip adresses (84.53.145.8-84.53.145.32) but I think that I' m blockin more than necessary. Thanks in advance

Given that V4 can block the Adobe.Update, I would expect that it could also be blocked on V3 by using a custom IPS signature. The problem is writing the signature.

Place a limit on the domain ' AKAMAI.com' since most updates originate from there. I believe Adobe is one of them. Facebook is another as well as some Windows Updates....

Hi We have a rule with traffic shaping to update.adobe.com. That seems to work fine for us.

Hi everybody Thanks for your replies, they' ve really helped me. I' ve finally configured a web content rule using ardownload. adobe. com as pattern, and it seems to work fine, that is, http traffic to www.adobe.com works fine and autoupdates seem to be correctly blocked. Thanks a lot
