I keep seeing these random errors in the logs from numerous ap's but I have yet to find any good information as to what they mean or if I should worry.  Seems like I will see a bunch all at once then everything settles down for a while

Log Description:  Physical AP error

Log ID: 0104043613

Reason:  80211 WLAN DEL error or 80211 WLAN ADD error

They are FAP221-E .  Firmware FP221E-v6.0-build0044

Forigate 300E:  Firmware 6.0.2 build0163

    I'm getting these "80211 WLAN ADD" errors on PU431F FortiAPs too. Have you figured out what they mean?

    Have anyone discover the solution to the fail of FortiAP on deleting WLAN Interface?

    Physical AP error on deleting WLAN Interface/ AP fail to delete WLAN Interface

    logdesc="Physical AP leave" action="ap-leave" reason="AP reset" msg="AP AP13 left."

    logdesc="Physical AP fail" action="ap-fail" reason="ECHO REQ is missing" msg="Failure happened on AP13."

    I'm using, at 2024 APRIL, a Cluster of 2 FG100F and FortiAP231F(s) with firmware v7.4.3 and v7.4.2 respectivaly.

    The ERROR on FortiAPs happen in the activation of the Passive FortiGate, with the Principal FortiGate, the FortiAPs works.

    Hi,

    Did you have found a solution or an explanation to this ?

    I just upgraded to the FortiOS 7.4.5, and FortiAP 7.4.3 and now receive the same message.

    Downgrade the fortiap to 7.2.9 didn't resolve the problem.

     You can try double check that the optional VLAN ID under the SSID is not set if you are not required.
