Add/Remove Fortigate device using CLI

Hi

I'm working on scripts that automatically deploy multiple Fortigate VMs on some group of devices. Those automatic scripts should also download license file on each VM (via tftp) and add newly created VM to FortiManager, which should verify license. I followed steps described in this document:

The problem with those instructions are that they require me to use FortiManager GUI in order to add Fortigate VM, which is not suitable for automatic scripts. Is there some way to do this via REST, CLI, SSH/anything else? Is it described somewhere? Is it supported, and if not, is there a plan to add this feature?
