Active-Active FortiGate HA Throughput

Hi, Just want to make sure. If I implement active-active HA of Fortigate, does it increase the throughput? Let says, 1 unit fortigate has 4Gbps throughput for threat protection (FGT-1200D). When I configure A-A HA, can the cluster of 2 units FGT handle up to 8Gbps threat protection throughput? Thank you

It does not  work that way. If you need 8gbps of threat protection you need to  size the box correctly. Also ACT-ACT does not load-balance all traffic as what some would think.
