Technical Tip: Error on console output: 'NP6XLITE: Error:'

This article describes a possible error that may occur during the boot-up process.

Scope

FortiGate (NP6, NP6lite, & NP6XLite models).

Solution

This error usually appears in the console output when the image is loaded to boot up after a manual or automatic reboot.

• Do the hard reset (Format the unit with an external button) of FortiGate and allow the boot up again.

• Before doing a hard reset, take a valid backup.
• After doing this If the issue persists, open a ticket with Fortinet Support.
• Attach the console output to the ticket.
