Scope
FortiClient Software installed in a Windows Machine
Solution
- Uninstall the Forticlient Software using the FortiClient remover tool.
Follow the steps in the linked article to remove the FortiClient Software from the Windows End-point. Reboot the Windows Machine after the Uninstallation process is completed. - Install the latest version of the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable.
- Uninstall any old C++ Redistributable found in Control Panel (eg: 2008, 2013). After removal, restart the windows machine.
- Reinstall the Intended FortiClient Version and run the application as an administrator.
