Technical Tip: Cannot clone policy in Interface Pair View

Description This article describes why the policy in Interface Pair View cannot be cloned in specific versions.

Solution

Users may encounter an issue where the error 'Copied Policy cannot be pasted into this interface pair' shows in FortiProxy v7.6.x:

In v7.4.x, the Interface Pair View still allowed pasting, but the 7.6 versions updated the workflow so that pasting is only supported in Sequence View. This was an intentional UI/design update by FortiOS. FortiProxy is aligned with FortiOS, so this behavior is consistent with the new design.

Switch the policy list page from Interface Pair View to Sequence View to copy and paste the policy.
