RADIUS SSL Certificates using Proxy Mode


Solution

SSL certificates to secure communications are stored for the following:
  • Administration UI
  • Persistent Agent
  • Captive Web Portal
  • Local RADIUS Server
  • RADIUS Endpoint Trust (applied to Local RADIUS) 
When configured for proxy mode, certificates used for RADIUS 802.1x wireless connections are not stored in the appliance.  The appliance proxies the 802.1x RADIUS request packets between the wireless controller and the backend RADIUS server.  

If updating or installing SSL certificates for 802.1x, there is nothing on the appliance that needs to be done for this process.
