Hardware version 11 is supported.
Due to the ever-changing and evolution of VMware Tools, every possible combination of software version, ESXi and VMware Tools will not be validated. As always, it is a best practice to take a snapshot of VMs before updating any of the components.
Any issues with VMware Tools and appliance compatibility will be documented as a Known Anomaly.
