Technical Tip: 'fwmanager set-dev-upgrade' flags & usage

Description

 

This article describes available flags on FortiManager set-dev-upgrade cli command.

 

Solution

 

1) There are flags in '# diagnose fwmanager set-dev-schedule' CLI command and multiple flags can be use separated by '|'.

 

FMG01 # diagnose fwmanager set-dev-schedule FGT01 7.0.5

upgrade flags (optional, separated by '|'), available:

  null

  bool_alt

  skip_retrieve

  skip_multi_steps

  fortiguard_img

  preview

  force_upgrade

 

2) Here are the description of these flags.

Null

No flag

bool_alt

Boot from alternate partition after upgrade

skip_retrieve

Skip retrieve config during upgrade process

skip_multi_steps

Skip all intermediate steps in upgrade path if possible

fortiguard_img

Let device download firmware from FortiGuard

preview

Shows the upgrade path. No upgrade will be done

force_upgrade

Enforce firmware version

 

3) The command and flags will only work in 6.4 ADOM and above.
