Technical Tip: Unable to run 'gui-proxy-inspection' command

This article describes the configuration to verify if the 'gui-proxy-inspection' command can be run in FortiGate CLI. 

Scope

FortiGate.

Solution

If the 'command parse error' appears when running the command as below:

The firewall's ngfw-mode could be policy-based.

When FortiGate ngfw-mode is policy-based, 'gui-proxy-inspection' is not available.

Special note:
Starting from v7.4.4, Proxy-related features are no longer supported on FortiGate with 2 GB RAM models.

Note:

Starting from FortiOS v7.6.0, the 'gui-proxy-inspection' command has been removed from the FortiOS CLI.
