Technical Tip: IP address threat feed does not work with javascript

Description This article describes that the FortiGate IP address threat feed cannot be used with websites that are using JavaScript. Invalid entries will be shown in the connector page status.
Scope FortiGate 7.0 and above.
Solution
  1. After configuring the connector for the threat feed, the status is up however it is showing invalid entries.

  1. Check the entries and notice it is listing a string that looks like an HTML with embedded Javascript.

  2. (Optional) Manually check the website and notice that it is indeed using a javascript.
