Technical Tip: How to make work VideoFilter using Browser Firefox

Description

 

This article describes that after applying the known settings Technical Tip: How to restrict YouTube channels using video filtering to allow YouTube channels or block others using the video Filter profile, they work in Google Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Avast. However they exhibit irregular behavior or do not work using Firefox.

 

Scope

FortiGate v7.0, v7.2.

 

Solution

 

FortiOS does not support Http3/QUIC for now. So, the H3 traffic will not get intercepted or be blocked. This problem is for http3 only.

 

Open Firefox Browser disable the feature as follow:

  • Open the Firefox browser bar and type 'about:config'.

  • Change it from True to False:

  • Close the browser and test again.
