Technical Tip: How to implement Antispam BWL

This article describes how to  implement Antispam BWL on FortiGate.

- Here is the email flow diagram:

- On this scenario JCLAR@FORTINET.PH will be sending email to AVALDEZ@FORTINET.KL.

Then on FortiGate KL, there is a security profile antispam that would block email coming from @phserver.fortinet.ph domain in PH side.

- To make sure that the deep inspection will work, the Fortinet_CA_SSL has been uploaed to both mail server.

But on client’s environment, a signed certificate should be used for the deep inspection.

- Test mail from jclar@fortinet.ph to avaldez@fortinet.kl has been sent With deep inspection  to block the mail message.

- Here is how FortiGate antispam handled the email.
