Technical Tip: FPM module on Chassis slot flapping

Step 1:

Check the system uptime status

get system per status | grep "SN\|Uptime

Note: Check the Slot uptime.

Step 2:

Check the slot status

diagnose load-balance status

Note: Check the Slot link and health status

Step 3:

Check the COMlogs

EXT2-fs (sda1): previous I/O error to superblock detected
read_taend_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 434691
end_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 31277224
Buffer I/O error on device sda, logical block 3909653
gbuf - 170: Diskend_request: I/O error, dev sda, sector 434153

Note: The issue may be due to file system corruption, if above logs are observed.

Step 4:

Format and reimage the blade 

Note: If above steps don't help, perform the HQIP test:

diagnose hardware test suite all

If hardware test is showing any errors, open a case with TAC.
