Technical Tip: Changes to security profiles

Description
This article describes the changes to the security profiles when upgrading from 6.2.x  to 6.4 or above.

Solution
Scenario 1.

- If Security profile was assigned exclusively to Flow based firewall policies in 6.2.x after firmware upgrade to 6.4 feature set will be flow.

Scenario 2.

- If Security profile was assigned exclusively to Proxy based firewall policies in 6.2.x after firmware upgrade to 6.4 feature set will be proxy.

Scenario 3.

- If Security profile was assigned to both Flow and Proxy based firewall policies in 6.2.x after firmware upgrade to 6.4 feature set will be proxy.

Scenario 4.

- If Security profile was not assigned to any firewall policies in 6.2.x after firmware upgrade to 6.4 feature set will be flow.

Note.
Feature set option clearly show the features specific to proxy-based mode, use the new feature set option to select 'Flow-based' or 'Proxy-based'.
When 'Flow-based' or 'Proxy-based' are selected, only the features for that mode are available.
