Technical Tip: Accessing FortiGate with explicit proxy settings enabled on the workstation

If FortiGate is acting as an explicit proxy for a network according to the option below and for some reason the workstation with proxy enabled needs to manage FortiGate, then an exception must be created as described below directly on the workstation so that access occurs as expected.

"explicit-web-proxy enable" is necessary on the interface that listens to the explicit proxy

In the Control Panel settings -> Internet Properties -> LAN Settings -> Proxy Server -> Advanced -> Exceptions.

Note: If the exception is not applied, the following message is displayed.
