Technical Tip: String input limit error message
Description
The purpose of this article is to highlight the string input limit error message:
# string is too long. length is 72, limit is 35
# Command fail. Return code is -11 (Invalid length of value.)
This error may be seen when entering DNS related and system object configuration, for example, global load balancing, and object name.
Scope
FortiADC v4.5.0 and above.
Solution
This is expected behaviour.
DNS relate and object naming characters string should not be more than 35 characters.
