WAN Interface

Hi to all,

on my Fortigate 100D i did already use the two wan1 e wan 2 interface to connect two different provider.

I'm now on the way to add another Internet connection from another provider. Can I use any of the free internal interfaces?

If so, will I be able to still use 'WAN  Link Load balancing'? Is there really a difference between the Wan and the Internal interface? If so, what are them?

Thanks in advance  for your help.

Max

Yes any free port can be used, the name is just a name but I 'm using DMZ interfaces on some models for my WAN.

I believe some ports have different drivers and not all ports operate as 1000mbps which is not revelant to a FGT100D but yes the ports are  about the same  outside of the ethernet-layer2 address

For link-load or wan-virtual interface, you should be able to add it as a member. Just make sure you check any port discrepancies before adding it. ( DHCP-server, vip, fwpolicy, etc.......)

Good luck.
