Unable to communicate Zones configured on the FortiGate firewall

We have a Fortigate firewall configured with a trunk port and two zones in different VLANs going through the trunk. We have configured a Policy to allow traffic between these two VLANs but traffic is still not going through. Is there any other configuration that needs to be done?

When you say "traffic is still not going through", do you mean traffic is getting blocked by Fortigate or traffic is not even reaching Fortigate?

Can you share the configuration and details?
