A couple of weeks ago some configuration change was made on our FortiGate 6.0 router that resulted in the packet and byte count information being output as "0" from nfdump using nfcapd's default sample rate of "1". Only when I specify a sample rate of "-1" to nfcapd do the packet and byte counts get properly reported.
I cannot find anywhere in the online CLI help any configuration setting that would apply to Netflow and being able to control the sampling rate transmitted in Netflow V9 template. Since Netflow V9 isn't sampled, the sampling rate shouldn't apply, but it appears to be from the receiving end's POV (ie. nfcapd/nfdump). In other words, why is a sampling rate even being transmitted in the templates for netflow from the FortiGate router?
