Fortigate 401 Firmware upgradation

Hi Team,

Hope all of doing well, I need some suggestion of FortiGate firmware upgradation. Currently we are using 6.4.10 version and we want to upgrade the latest one please suggest the stable version.

The latest firmware release is 7.4.2.

It is wise to upgrade your firmware to the latest GA release. Every release might have known issues, but the question is who has less ?

thanks much for your prompt response, you are right every release multiple known issue and we are not taking any risk that's why please suggest the firmware that less known issue and their known issue workaround should be available simultaneously.

As mentioned earlier, every new release will have its own known issues which might not impact all the customers network as each environment is different.

To check if a known issue will impact your network, one should have complete understanding of your setup and then suggest. Hence, reaching out to your partner team who has better understanding about your network will help you with this concern.

Please be informed that each firmware version will have Its own known issue and resolved issues so we would suggest you refer the release notes before upgrading.

please suggest best firmware either 7.0.13 or 7.2.6. we need your proper suggestion.

In my personal opinion the latest version is always better. 
You need to check the release notes and see if your environment might be affected.
