Hi everyone,
I wanted to give Fortigate a try, and I installed it as a VM with an evaluation license.
Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be much you can do with such a license, especially the inability to set VLANs up (due to interface limitations) is a big drawback to me.
So, I was wondering how I could get a 60-90 day trial license.
Could you please help me find out?
Thanks

As it is, the evaluation license is pretty much useless.
Thanks
Useless...again :(
Hello @lukehome ,
Thank you for contacting the Fortinet Forum portal.

To obtain a 60-90 day trial license for Fortigate, you can contact Fortinet sales or their authorized resellers directly to request an extended evaluation. They typically provide trial licenses for testing purposes that offer more features, including VLAN support. For businesses dealing with online services like vacation rentals, it's also important to check if they provide vacation rental license services in your area, ensuring your operations comply with local regulations.
The evaluation license has quite a few limitations, including restricted interface options which can make setting up VLANs difficult. To get a 60-90 day trial license with full features, I'd recommend reaching out directly to Fortinet's sales team or a certified distributor. They often provide extended trials for potential customers. Much like preparing for running events, having the right tools and setup is key to a smooth experience—so getting that full license will help you test everything properly! Good luck!
