How does fortimanager automatically take backup fortigate firewall

My Fortigate firewall and Fortiswitches are defined and working synchronously on Fortimanager. I want automatic backups of the firewalls and switches on a regular schedule, for example once a week. How can I do this?

well FortiManager anyways always knows the current config of your FortiGates. If you change device config on the FortiGate directly the changes will be pushed to the FortiManager (called AutoUpdate). Changes of the policy package should only be made via the FortiManager.

If you keep up to that then every revision you see in FMG Device Manager for your Fortigate is a complete backup of it which you can take and restore on the FMG.

Please note that FortiSwitch is not listed as one of the valid platform in which management feature is available under FortiManager.

Hence, FortiManager will not be able to have management feature over FortiSwitch, inhibiting FortiSwitch's backup to be taken from FortiManager.

Oxidized requires Linux? If yes, we're a Windows-only shop. If not, can you please forward a link on how to use it with Windows. Couldn't find anything when I did a quick search on Google and I would like to read more about it. Much appreciated https://100001.onl/ .
