Hello @ganesh_karale ,

Aren't these switches registered to the same support account as Fortigate?

If so, does FortiGate have access to FortiGuard services to control this?

Hi ozkanaltas,

Those devices are registered on the support account.

If the Fortigate showing registered then switch also should update their status as per registration.

Ganesh

Hi @ganesh_karale ,

FortiGate periodically queries the devices connected to it. If you were unable to reach FortiGuard Services and make inquiries during this interval, this may be the reason.

However, if you have just upgraded the devices, waiting a bit may help solve the problem.

In release notes under resolved issue of Fortios v7.4.4 is mentioned that issue has been resolved. But in Fortios v7.4.4 still facing the same issue.

984404 -  After upgrading the FortiGate to FortiOS 7.4.2, the managed FortiSwitch unit is shown as “not registered” in the GUI.

I know this bug.

Can you try to register these switches via FortiGate GUI, is there any changes?

I know these devices are already registered but I want to see the register status from FortiGate. If in these steps FortiGate says, this device is already registered, It means the bug still persists.

Checked that option and there is showing registered.

But if coming back to System - Firmware and registration option it shows not register.

Please find below snap.

Hi @ganesh_karale ,

I think the bug still persists.

I know this may not be possible, but can you try to reboot FortiGate units? Because sometimes FortiGate is stuck. Reboot can solve that problem.

If the problem still persists, you can create a ticket for to support team. They can inspect the problem deeply. After that, if needed they can provide a special build for you.
