Difficulty in using Host Check with Registration of client

Sorry for what must appear to be a silly question - please can someone point me in the right direction? I need to find a way to implement Host Checking for Registered clients, but when I try and connect an unregistered client, it tells me I' ve failed the Host Check (because an unregistered client won' t run the host checking component, as far as I can tell), but I am unable to register the client until after I have connected. How does one go about deploying pre-registered clients in an enterprise situation without hitting this catch-22 situation?

This query can be ignored, we were merely misunderstanding the syntax of the host-check-software parameters, and the registration of the client is irrelevant.
