pppd constantly restarting

The following is showing up in the logs and I' m not sure why. This is a Fortigate 500 and the CPU utilization is nearly maxed all day long even though there is very little content, IPS filtering enabled and the rules are pretty well optimized. If bandwidth through the firewall exceeds 2mb/s, cpu starts to max out. This is the only item that is odd. Also, this was occuring with only 4 vpn users connected. TTT I am experiencing a similar issue. Modem is PPPoE FortiWiFi-60AM 3.00-b0730(MR7 Patch 1) ISP Provider is Birch Modem is a Netopia 2241N (bridged) I have been experiencing what seems to be internet outages. This is for a store that uses a POS system (AS400) with an emulator that requires a constant connection. Loss of connection over 8 seconds, and the session times out. Any help is greatly appreciated edit, I realize this thread is 4 years old, I am just struggling with this. Sorry and thanks
