Hi all,
New to the forums and fairly new to the Fortinet product suite but assisting with managing 700+ Fortigates (100/300/500) along with FortiManager and FortiAnalyzer.
The issue we have with all of our gates atm is there are a whole lot of files being created in the tmp folder which don't get deleted. Over time this builds up and eventually the gates shift into memory conserve mode. I can delete the files one by one which would take me a horribly long time to do or just reboot the gate which clears the volatile memory and restarts the cycle.
We're running OS 5.4 and the working theory is the API calls being made to each gate are causing this tmp file creation which for some reason do not delete, possibly as the gates don't register a session closure once the API call is finished.
Does this ring bells for anyone? I've logged a ticket with Fortigate but still waiting on a response from them.
Cheers,
Ric

Can you share the specific model & build you are using? And also list the files in /tmp that you need to remove?
Hi,
Did you get any help from support? We are facing the same issue after we upgraded to 5.4.8.
Thanks
