SSLVPN with mac address checking need to be licensed since FortiClient v6.2??

Dear community,

I am planning to enable MAC address checking for FortiGate SSLVPN, but I realize that FortiClient 6.2 - 6.4 no longer support this feature without license. Please refer to https://kb.fortinet.com/kb/documentLink.do?externalID=FD49387

The EoES (End of Engineer Support) date for FortiClient 6.0.x is on 2022, it's not a good option for us to ask users keep using their FortiClient 6.0.x as long term solution.

But I am surprised that if I want to have this feature with FortiClient 6.2 (or above), I first have to purchase a FortiClient EMS server (probably need to have resilience) plus a number of FortiClient license.

That's cost much for us if I only interested on the MAC address checking! I don't need others NAC features..

Anyone have the same trouble??? Have you got any alternative solution?

Two years later, have you found a solution? I have the same concern. I'm using the 6.4 version.
