No response from the peer

maybe someone can help me out. My vpn works fine, execpt when i try to set up a vpn from my notebook to my fortinet at home THROUGH some firewall from someone. then the log shows: Warning message: loc_ip=192.168.1.5 loc_port=500 rem_ip=a.b.c.drem_port=500 out_if=0 vpn_tunnel=Paper status=negotiate_error msg=" No response from the peer, retransmit (st=1).... Hallo Henk The problem is that normally nobody does open the port 500 on the firewall with out a reason. You can be sure that your traffic will be blocked on the firewall. You have to wait until version 3.0 comes out. With 3.0 it is possible to make a VPN tunnel over ssl. The ssl port is normally open on the firewalls (ssl is https traffic). -Guido-
