I apologize in advance if this is not the correct place for this question.
Given the crude network diagram below, I'm wondering if it is possible to load balance a dedicated site to site connection with a VPN connection. To take it one step further, I'd really like to direct certain traffic over the VPN and other traffic over the site to site. For example, our production control application over the site to site and exchange server traffic over the vpn. Of course if one or the other goes down, the other would need to route all traffic. For hardware we have a Fortigate 80c on one side and a 92D on the other side.

should not be an issue with routing and link monitors. start with reading up on advanced routing and WAN load balancing.
