Fortigate - Error conflicts with a ipsec-phase1-interface of the same name.node_check_obje

Hi Team,

I am trying to build a new config and receive the below error on fortigate30e:

sitename $ config system interface sitename (interface) $ edit "na" the name "na" conflicts with a ipsec-phase1-interface of the same name. node_check_object fail! for name na

  Does anyone have an idea of what could be causing this?   Jackson

looks like if this is not really a new config but a new interface only.

The error says there is some iPSec VPN that has the same name as your new interface. So you either get rid of that (if not needed) or choose a new name for the new interface.
