Hello, I am new to Fortigate 90D (v5.0) and was wondering how to setup wireless and wired to be on the same network ?
I watched the video on configuring software switch but that was on firmware v4.0.
Any advise is appreciated !
Thank you !
Ethan
I believe you are using FortiAPs along with your Fortigate Devices.
I addition to using a Software Switch you need to configure SSID in Local Bridge with FortiAP (not in Tunnel Mode)

Hello Dipen, thanks for the reply !
My Fortigate 90D comes with built-in wireless and I am trying to configure both the wireless and wired to be on the same network. Please pardon me but is FortiAP a physical hardware ?
Below is the document that I have managed to find but it doesn't apply to firmware v5.0 though:

Do you have any other suggestions ?
Best regards.

The instructions provided in the above will still work (for the most part). Basically, the steps can be summarized as follows..

When setting up a software switch, you can only add ports that are not assigned any policies (e.g. firewall policy, dhcp server), so check (add if needed) the ref column on the interface page.
For example most Fortigates come with a default (or factory reset) config that defines a "hard" switch called either internal or switch, which will have at least one firewall policy (e.g. internal->wan) and a DHCP server assigned. If you want to also add this "hard" switch as a member to your software switch, disable the DHCP server on that interface, then delete any firewall policies defined for it. Recheck the ref column on the interface page.

Actually it is not much different in case from FortiAP & FortiWireless (Integrated) , in either case we have to create a Software Switch between SSID and Hardware port.
