One of our customers upgraded their VPN network recently and require the latest version of the Forticlient VPN software to connect. My client connects to the https address and a connection is established, but no IP or RDP is available. The route print command is reporting correctly.
I am on Windows 10 Pro 1511 (10586.545). The Forticlient version is 5.4.1.0840.
A colleague with the same Windows build can connect, as can one with a previous build of Windows 10. A Windows 8 box can connect. Neither my home nor work PC (same build) can connect.
I have compared settings with the colleague on the same Windows build - and the most significant difference is in our ipconfig /all - the customer's DNS is top of the list in the Ethernet Adapter DNS Server list on my machine. In the IPv4 settings for the Ethernet Adapter, the use Preferred DNS option is selected also, and the customer's DNS is in there also. This value can be changed, but reverts back when I reconnect to the VPN network.
Has anyone encountered a similar issue?
Thanks in advance,
Jim

Hi again,
The issue is now resolved (in terms of connectivity). Although my colleague's build was identical, he installed Forticlient 5.0.1.194 from an offline installer. I uninstalled, reinstalled that version and had no issues connecting.
